I have been involved in organising sports uniforms for schools and clubs all through my daughters formative years. Just recently she needed some basketball singlets for her new club. When she asked me for help in organising them, I trembled with fear, recalling past experiences, when we got the wrong sizes, the wrong colours and to cap it all the stuff arived too late.
My daughter said that she had heard of a comparitively new method of printing called SUBLIMATION, I had no idea what she meant. We searched google and found a local company in Perth who said that they would be pleased to help. Apparently they deal with clubs and schools all over the world via the internet.
We sent a picture of what we wanted and they said that the design would not work in its current format, but they could recreate our design to make it a workable project. What impressed me was the fact that they were very insistent that we used their size chart to establish our requirements and not just assume that the sizes were standard, from previous encounters over the years, I can assure you that they are not.
Once we had decided on the design, the colours and sizes, we told them our quantities and they said that the job would be printed and manufactured in 5 weeks. At this point they did say, that if we wanted a pre made singlet with screen printing on it, they could actually do the job in 10. 14 days. It was nice to be given this option if our order had been urgent.
The company asked for a 50% deposit and said that the balance was due prior to delivery. Just 4 weeks later they rang and said that our singlets were ready and we could collect them that day.
When we saw them we were thrilled, the workmanship was outstanding and they looked really professional. apparently this company do make uniforms for a lot of State and National teams.
All I can say is, that it was the most trouble free experience I have ever had in organising sports uniforms. Any one who has been given this task will understand what a pleasure this was.
